Obituary of Terry Eugene Bratcher

TERRY EUGENE BRATCHER, 74, PARADISE (LAS VEGAS), NEVADA After a long battle with multiple cancers, Terry passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021. He was one of a kind who will be missed by many. Terry was born on November 14, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the son of Marian Bratcher Blankenship and David Bratcher. He is survived by his wife, Terri Larita Bratcher, his stepson, Jake Hopkins, his younger brother, Stephen Bratcher, and many adopted extended family members and adopted friends. Terry was preceded in death by his father and mother, his stepfather Carl Blankenship, his older brother, David Bratcher, Dave’s partner, Marissa Garcia, and Chiko. Terry graduated from the University of Louisville, then served with the Navy in Asia. After leaving the Navy, he had an amazing and varied career and many adventures. He touched many people throughout his life as a son, a brother, a husband, a mentor, and as a friend. He met his lovely wife, Larita, thirty-nine years ago. Larita loved and cared for Terry tenderly and heroically throughout their years together. Terry loved movies, U of L sports, gadgets, and meeting interesting people. Special thanks to Nathan Adelson Hospice for their support and care. There will be a celebration of Terry’s life at a later date.
