Obituary of Michael George Bartlett

On Friday, February 12, 2021, Michael George Bartlett, beloved father of two children, and grandfather of 5, passed away at age 56. Michael (Mike) was born on September 9, 1964, in Phoenix, AZ to Helen and George Bartlett. When he was 21 years old, Mike decided to join United States Air Force while living in Alaska. During his time in the USAF, Mike, his wife Rhonda, and their two children (Ashli and Nathan), were stationed in Colorado, Texas, and Japan. In 2005, Mike remarried, and the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. In October 2009, after serving 24 years, Mike retired from the USAF as a Master Sargent. Mike loved the simple things in life; hiking, biking, shooting his guns, grilling and just hanging out with his family. He loved spending his time working on his cars or doing improvements around the house, even if he didn’t have time for it. On any given Saturday/Sunday morning, you could find him laying out in his backyard tanning or, “catching some rays,” as he would say. Mike loved having his family together and always hosted birthdays and holiday dinners at his house. The nights always ended around the fire pits, roasting marshmallows, telling stories, and having fun. He always made sure everyone left with a smile on their face and their stomach full of food. Mike will be remembered for his stories, making people laugh, and how much he loved his family. Mike was a loving father, a grandfather, a brother, and a friend. He is survived by his two children Ashli, and Nathan, his grandchildren Owen, Mason, Benjamin, Samuel, and Isabella, and his sister Pamela. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, George, and Helen Bartlett. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005 at 10:40 A.M.
