Obituary of Gloria Loeser-Cable

Gloria Loeser-Cable, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Saint Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus, Henderson, Nevada. Gloria was named Rose Guerriero when she was born on December 27, 1928 in Lindenhurst, New York to Michael Guerriero and Josephine Claire Luongo. Gloria grew up in Brooklyn, New York where at an early age learned to play the accordion. When Gloria was sixteen years old she had her first job at the Bungalow Bar ice cream factory. Gloria graduated from Erasmus Hall High School with the class of 1946 in the Flatbush neighborhood of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. She subsequently obtained employment as a teletype operator for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company. Gloria married Calvin George Loeser on June 6, 1951, in New York City, New York, and had three children during their marriage. In 1967 Gloria began her very successful fifty-year career as a licensed real estate broker, retiring on her 89th birthday in 2017. Gloria moved to Las Vegas where she was very active enjoying concerts, comedians, magicians, and other live entertainment. Gloria was an avid reader, who also loved playing bingo, going to the casinos for gaming and eating buffets, playing cards, and singing karaoke. Gloria enjoyed all the activities at the Italian-American Club where she was a life-long member. Gloria’s exuberant personality overflowed with cheerfulness, energy, and enthusiasm which created countless everlasting memories with her sons, grandchildren, cousins, friends, and acquaintances. Gloria was a wonderful mother, friend, colleague, mentor, and role model. She was predeceased by her first husband Calvin George Loeser, her second husband George Louis Cable, her son Jeffrey Paul Loeser, her son Robert John Loeser, and her granddaughter Gloria Elena Loeser. She is survived by her son Michael George Loeser and his wife Rosa Maria Loeser, her grandson Michael Anthony Loeser, and her great grandson Michael Paul Corbett. In accordance with Gloria’s wishes her cremated remains will be inurned in the Loeser family crypt located in a columbarium within the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, San Diego, California.
