Obituary of Christopher Scott

Christopher "Chris" Scott 4/25/1966 - 8/30/2021 age 55 Went to be with The Lord Monday, August 30th following a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife DeNa, son Evan, his mom and dad, ordained pastors, Frank and Sheri Finch, his sister Shawn, his nephew, Zion, step sons Anthony & DJ and daughters Traci & Brooke and grand children, Amira 16, Kennedy 15, Aliya 12, Maddison 8 and Jayson 11. He also leave behind three aunts, a multitude of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Horace "Scotty" Scott. Chris had a huge presence everywhere he went. He has left a huge hole in our hearts. He was definitely one of a kind! Chris loved the Lord! He was actively trying to figure out exactly what the Lord was calling him to do. He was even considering moving back to CA to fight the fight with our church family at Godspeak even though many people were fleeing from CA he wanted to run into the fight. He wanted to fight for the Lord and for our liberties. When he was younger Chris lived life in the fast lane. He loved motorcycles and loved to recount riding through Mulholland Canyon and hanging out at The Rock Store and of course Denny’s with the fellas. He was quite the dancer and was always meticulous about how he looked. He loved to tell stories of how he taught Janet Jackson's crew some dance moves. His greatest love was his love of The Lord! He wanted to share the Lord with everyone he met. He definitely had the gift of gab so he had no trouble starting a conversation with anyone. He loved talking to people from all over the world. The thing he enjoyed most about his job was talking to the people and learning where they were from. He had one son Evan, he always had a smile in his eye when he talked about the fine young man he is and how proud he was to be his dad. Being Evan's Dad was the most important job to him. He took yearly trips to Disneyland so that he could take Evan, wink wink, we know who was the bigger kid. Chris never stopped hustling, from driving shuttles, taxi, running a concierge car wash but his greatest love came when he discovered virtual reality gaming and owned his own machines in malls and fairs. He loved traveling and lived in many states throughout the US, he was always on the move. He was not one to sit still. It was his last move from Maryland to Vegas that he met his beautiful wife DeNa, who helped to tame the wild man but he gladly traded all the crazy years for a loving marriage, sunsets on the beach, 4 wheeling in the desert and his big dog, Jake. We can't forget Jake, who is going to be lost without his Daddy. Chris was that guy that would show up for you in your time of need. He went out of his way to help others and would be the first to show up in a disaster to pull your car out of the flood, to making sure the elderly were safe getting to their cars in coming from the grocery store. He would gather coats, blankets, and distribute to the homeless when the weather turned cold. He had a real passion for helping homeless Veterans. He had a good heart and a desire to help others. Our lives will never be the same without him here. But we will keep his memory alive with stories.
