Obituary of Evelyn Chu

Evelyn Chu was born to Michael and Mei Lew in Northern California. She met and married Wilson Chu in Salt Lake City while attending the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy. Upon graduating, she began her life-long career as a clinical hospital pharmacist. She took on various leadership positions in pharmacy administration after moving to the Las Vegas area.

Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and the great outdoors. She was an avid runner and a member of a local run club. She annually participated in the Rock and Roll Half Marathon with her brother and sister, as well as many other races in the area.

Style and fashion were her obsessions and shopping was a lifelong passion for Evelyn. In her leisure, Evelyn enjoyed traveling and touring the wine country with family and friends. She loved visiting art museums, catching up on stage shows and concerts, watching the latest movies, and sharing gourmet meals with family, friends and neighbors. She routinely supported and volunteered at various organizations. On the weekends Evelyn was often seen walking her dogs, shopping at boutiques, and enjoying a good happy hour.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Wilson, daughters, Claire (Arturo) and Casey (Calvin). She is also survived her brother, Leo, sister, Victoria (Gordon), nephews, Max and Sam, uncles Benson, Artmond (Miae), Calvin (Katy), and Oscar (Florence).

Evelyn worked hard to continuously educate herself and encourage growth in those around her. She was patient and loving. Her smiles and laughs were contagious. She will be missed by those lucky enough to experience her presence.
