Marilyn Kissner

Obituary of Marilyn Ann Kissner

With great sadness we announce the passing of Marilyn Ann Kissner, our devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, on October 28, 2021. After years of failing health she left us peacefully in her sleep. She was 83 years old. She is preceded by her husband, Charles Kissner and her daughter, Marilyn Heenan. She is survived by her daughters: Leslie Kissner, Kristine Welte, and Linda Welte; sons-in-law: Michael Heenan, Gary Welte, and Rick Welte; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She loved nothing more than getting visits from her grandchildren. Born in New York City, NY in 1938 she was a proud New Yorker her entire life. This is where she met her childhood love, Charles Kissner, where they grew up together, and where they were eventually married. As a young mom of four daughters, she lost her husband to cancer. She settled and raised her four daughters in Las Vegas. She worked for the Clark County School District serving students with special needs until she retired in 2012. Marilyn learned at a young age to work hard and took great pride in her home. Her house was always spotless, and she loved to make her signature German dishes for all to enjoy. We will be having an intimate celebration of life for close family and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
