Robbin Buscher

Obituary of Robbin J Buscher

On Sunday, November 28th, 2021, Robbin J. Buscher, loving son, father, and uncle, passed away of cancer related troubles. His soul moved on while at home in the company and comfort of his mother, at the age of 62. Robbin was born in the beautiful state of Wyoming. He spent some time in Colorado, before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas, around 10 years old, his family moved to Libya in North Africa for his father’s work. Robbin loved learning about the different cultures, experiencing the rich diversity all around him. He learned to scuba dive in the Mediterranean Sea, rode a camel through Giza, witnessed the beauty of the pyramids, and enjoyed having Sunday supper with the local policemen. His time in Africa was a once in a lifetime experience that Robbin cherished and talked about for many years after. After Africa, Robbin moved back to Las Vegas where he received his GED in 2008, completed many certificate programs for the Southern Nevada Carpenters and Millwright Union, and thoroughly enjoyed working with his hands. He worked on some of the Las Vegas Strip hotels, including Caesars Palace and Aria. Robbin was always tinkering in his garage and workshops, being creative. Many of those times he was working alongside his daughter Nikki, helping her master her woodworking craft, in which she also created beautiful pieces that she shared with him. Robbin also enjoyed watching football, cheering on the Denver Broncos no matter the outcome. He also loved to cook. He would watch cooking shows or read a magazine where he would try to recreate a dish he saw or create a dish of his own out of inspiration. He also loved BBQing steaks, ribs, and burgers. In addition to his hobbies, Robbin thoroughly relished in the attention and love he received from his pets over the years. Buck, Tessa, and Dexter, or as he liked calling him, Buddy. While Robbin was at home in his final days, he was being watched over by Buddy from the top of the couch, making him feel safe and in good company. Robbin was preceded in death by his sister Peri. He is survived by his daughter Nikki, his mother Cicelia, stepfather Bryan, and nieces Karrisa and Briana. We will be hosting a Celebration of Life on January 22nd, 2022 with close friends and family. Anyone wishing to attend can email Buscherk38@outlook.com for details. To Robbin: “May the lighthouse be bright, and the waves be mellow.”
