Obituary of Ronald Thomas McLean

Las Vegas, NV – Ronald Thomas McLean 79, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 15, 2022 at Nathan Adelson Hospice, in Las Vegas. He was born December 11, 1942, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Thomas and Gladys Allen-McLean. Ron graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1961. Following graduation, he served the U.S. Air Force in France and Little Rock where he met the love of his life Bonnie (Holmes) McLean, Las Vegas, NV. They would have celebrated 57 years of marital bliss this March 27, 2022. They were very involved in Marriage Encounter for many years. He graduated from Rockhurst University and majored in Industrial Relations in 1975. While Ron was busy working his way up the corporate ladder at TWA, we were off jetting around the world going to California, Florida, London, Switzerland and Hawaii. After they married Ron adopted Bonnie’s precious daughter Libby (Mark) McLean Sanders and they had another daughter Christine (Gil Contreras) McLean. They went on the give him granddaughters, Ashley Catherine (Alex) Sanders-Muramoto , Heather Marie Sanders, and Anna Mireya (Steven) Contreras-Leaver . Then of course the cutest of all the great granddaughter Adeline Mae Muramoto. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Gladys Allen-McLean, his wonderful Aunt Gertie, his brother Don McLean of only three days and his two best friends Bill Gartner and Gary Wear. There are all of our dogs that have passed that are waiting for him in heaven also.
