Obituary of Gregory L Mathie

Gregory L. Mathie, dear husband, father and brother was at home when he peacefully passed from this life on February 17, 2022 at the age of sixty-nine. Greg joins his parents, Jean V. and Ellis Leonard Mathie and is survived by his wife, Linda; son, Joshua Mathie (Jamie Logue); daughter, Kitrin Haas (Chris Haas); grandchildren, C.J. Haas and Colton Haas; sister, Ellen J. Lyons; brother-in-law, Patrick Sampier. Greg was raised on the family farm in Lawrence, Utah helping his dad plant and harvest alfalfa, oats and wheat and raising cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens and guinea hens. Following graduation from Emery County High School, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea. In his later years, Greg enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, writing short stories and novellas, scuba diving with Linda and playing with his dogs. He was an avid WWE (Wrestling) fan and shared this interest with his grandsons. Celebration of his life will be scheduled for later this year. Greg will be missed. He is forever in our hearts, forever remembered with love.
