She grew up in Kansas City, then moved to Colorado and spent a lot of her adult life there. She made friends and touched lives as a housewife and worked various jobs from waitressing to security. After reuniting with her young love, James in the 1980’s they decided to move to Las Vegas, where both of them had spent time when they were younger. Her son moved with them. Helen was a long time employee at a local auto parts store until her and James retired from work. They sold their Las Vegas home to retire to Oklahoma where James grew up. They lived there for 10 years until James passed away. Helen’s 3 children now resided in Colorado, Minnesota and Las Vegas. She didn’t feel she could handle the cold, so she moved back to Las Vegas with her son in 2015. She eventually worked her way up the list to get accepted into an in-demand senior housing apartment. She loved living there and making friends with everyone else that resided at Decatur Pines. Although her friends there were only for a few short years, they made a lifetime of memories together. She is truly loved and will be greatly missed.
