Obituary of Teresa Marie Larson
Teresa Larson (née Ziegenhagen) was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed laughing and helping those in need. She passed away from cancer in her family’s arms on October 10, 2022 in Henderson, Nevada.
Teresa was born in Washington state in 1954 and grew up in Orange County, California, graduating from Savanna High in Anaheim. She worked in the medical field for many different facilities, where she always enjoyed helping the doctors and patients. Eventually, after many years in California, she moved to the Henderson area to be closer to family.
Teresa had an amazingly witty sense of humor, and the sounds of her laughter will carry on in her family’s memories. She was a deeply loving, hardworking woman who touched the lives of all she encountered. She will be greatly missed.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Charles Ziegenhagen, and her husband, Richard Garcia.
She leaves behind two children, Christina Larson and Renee Alejo; two grandchildren, Violet Lewis and Nora Alejo; her mother, Marjorie Ziegenhagen; five siblings, Becky Fowler, Margaret Ziegenhagen, Janet Carr, Karen Chisum, and Chuck Ziegenhagen; and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private family gathering in Henderson to celebrate Teresa’s life during the Thanksgiving holiday.
