Obituary of William Michael Lang

William Michael Lang (Bill) joined God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit on February 4th 2021 at 74 years young. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27th at Christ The King Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NV. Born December 6th, 1946 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Robert and Ellen Lang. Bill was blessed with a musical talent that led him through this life. He began his’ lifelong passion of performing in childhood; singing with church choirs, children’s groups and eventually night club’s and hotels. From Chicago to New Yor he finally made Las Vegas his home in the late 60’s, a perfect fit in the entertainment capital of the world. Bill loved singing and song writing. He flew single engine planes and practiced Taekwondo Karate. Bill worked in food service at the Riviera, Fremont, Desert Inn and Paris Hotel, where he met many, many friends. Bill loved animals and was never without his beloved pets including cats, dogs, birds and horses. Bill is survived by his four children Jonathan Lang (Dawn), Connimarie Smith, Antoinette Mahoney, and Michael Mahoney (Star); Grandchildren Taylor, Aaron, Mackhenna, Ethan, Dominick and Lyric. He was also blessed with an extended family and many close friends who loved and will miss him dearly. Bill deeply loved God, his family, music, & performing. He loved to entertain everyone from the showroom audience to the grocery store clerk. He is now singing with the angels in Heaven, performing for all those in his company, as he did here on Earth… He would always brighten a room with his beautiful, contagious smile, his sweet melodic tunes and his good-hearted nature. Bill will be greatly missed by all. Bill required multiple blood transfusions throughout his fight against cancer and then COVID-19. He was appreciative of all the medical care he received and would truly appreciate passing that compassion for others along.
