Obituary of Ardis Hackett Banks

Daughter of Reverend Alton Sims and Eddie Bell Sims. Born March 23rd 1958 from San Francisco, California. There she gave birth to two children, Sonhai and Mishailai Hackett. Ardis moved to Fresno, California in 1987 where she spent most of her years working hard as a dietary cook and raising her two kids. Ardis retired in 2004 to do what she would say, "Live Life". In 2017, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to her daughter and grandkids. Ardis was a loving Mother, Sister, Aunty and Friend. She will forever be missed. Ardis joins in death her mother, father, brother and grandson. Here to live on for her she leaves her husband, Amos Banks; two children, Sonhai and Mishailai Hackett; sister, Michelle Williams, niece, Shimaka G.; four grandchildren, Marquis Macumba, Shailay, Dayonna and Damon Pearson; one step daughter; four step grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends. A Home Going Celebration will be held at: Red Ridge Park, 9198 W Arby Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89148 on May 10th, 2021 at 1:00pm
