Obituary of Lynda Carol Kardeke

Lynda Carol Kardeke, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died peacefully in her home in North Las Vegas, Nevada, May 15, 2021. Born Sept. 2, 1945 to Charles and Elizabeth Pengra in Pleasanton, California, she married her soul mate, James Roger Kardeke, Sept. 23, 1966, in Reno, Nevada, and lived in the California bay area for several years. After 11 years in the Navy, her husband joined the US Army and took their family around the world, living in Germany, Japan, and Italy, as well as Colorado, California, Wisconsin, Illinois. After a lifetime career as a Department of Army employee, she retired as a Personnel Management Specialist at Rock Island Arsenal, IL, and moved to North Las Vegas. She loved movies, traveling, camping, fishing, and gourmet cooking. No services are planned as she wished to have a quiet family gathering to say their farewells in the Red Woods of California. She is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years; her daughters Cassandra and Christine; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
