Obituary of Gerald Miller

Gerald Francis Miller (Jerry), 85 of Las Vegas, Nevada pass on November 25th, 2022 at 10:53am.

Jerry was born on February 23rd, 1937 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to parents Joseph George Miller and Marie Ruth Miller. He had two brothers, Robert and Lawrence (Larry). Jerry married Deanna Mary Park on August 27th, 1955 and they were married until her death on September 18th, 2003. Jerry married Wilda Lavaughn Roe on January 6th, 2004 and they were married until her death on July 13th, 2018. 

Jerry was an Automotive Electrician for the City of Los Angeles Police Department. He retired in 1992. His hobbies included archery, bowling, fishing, RV trips, card games and reading. He was President of California Bowmen Hunter and State Archery Association for many years as well as a Director for the National Field Archery Association. He was inducted into the California Archery Hall of Fame on January 17th, 1998.

Jerry had Polio as a small child and throughout his life was determined to never be treated as if he were handicapped.

Left behind to cherish his memory ar his children Joseph Miller (Sharon), Nancy Walters (Rogers), Robert Miller (Sherri), brother Larry Miller (Peggy), grandchildren Shaylynn, Eric, Justus, David, great-grandchildren Bryant, Matthias, Evelyn, Lillia, Margaux, nephews Mike, Hugh, Robert, nieces Kathleen, Doreen, Rhonda, Tina, Lori, best friend Hal "Woody" Woods and many other friends.

Predeceased by parents Joseph and Marie, wives Deanna and Wilda, son David and brother Robert.

Jerry left his mark on many hearts and lives, and will be deeply missed.
