Obituary of Patricia Davidson

Our sweet mother Patricia “Patti” Davidson passed away on September 30, 2021, after a long and courageous battle. She was born to Lawrence Sartain, Sr. and Marjorie Van Fleet on October 26, 1954 at Women’s Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from Western High School. Mom stayed in Las Vegas and started waitressing at The Ranch House, her family’s establishment. She then moved on to waitress at The Silver Slipper. It was there that she met the love of her life, Robert Davidson, who caught her eye while working behind the bar. Mom introduced herself by pinching his butt, and their relationship blossomed from there. Several months later they were married, and soon welcomed two daughters. Mom went on to work in guest services at the Desert Inn and then at The Mirage until she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She made her family her priority, supporting her husband and daughters with her constant love, and quirky (sometimes dirty) sense of humor. Mom loved dogs and is survived by her beloved rescue dog Maggie, a vocal schnauzer mix with a weird hopping run. She loved to garden, play board games, throw around a frisbee, pan for gold, and hike the desert to find cool rocks. She also loved classic rock, often playing it loud enough for the neighbors to enjoy it as well. Our mom was also a weather fiend. If you were travelling, she would report the forecast for that area and warn you of any incoming storms, even for the surrounding states, and was always warning family about incoming storms. On one occasion, she warned her daughter in Utah of an approaching storm in Canada and insisted she keep an eye on the local forecast! She disliked air travel but enjoyed traveling. Her favorite trips were to Catalina Island where she honeymooned, and Kauai. Mom is now reunited with her loving husband Robert who predeceased her in 2016, her mother Marjorie Van Fleet, father Lawrence Sartain Sr., sister Peggy Sartain and brother Michael Sartain. She is survived by her two daughters, Heather Davidson and Holly (Randy) Kirk, her grandson Braxton Kirk, her twisted sisters Laralyn D’acquisto and Virginia (Mark) Stratman, and her brothers Larry (Connie) Sartain and Doug (Becky) Sartain, and a large, loving family.
